Update on this morning’s serious motor vehicle incident

Police officers and other emergency crews are now clearing from the 4300-block of Northwood Pulpmill Road, the scene of this morning’s serious motor vehicle incident.

It is with regret we can confirm that this morning’s incident resulted in the death of one person, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased in their time of mourning, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The B.C. Coroners Service has taken conduct of this investigation. There will be no further updates from this office.

Background:

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, Prince George RCMP was advised that a vehicle had gone down an embankment on the 4300-block of Northwood Pulpmill Road.

Police officers are still at the location with other emergency services. Northwood Pulpmill Road has been closed to traffic and will remain closed for the majority of the morning as emergency crews continue their work. A detour through Shelley is available, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
