File # 2023-10781

On Friday, April 7, 2023, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Prince George RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a gas station on the 2500-block of Range Road. Witnesses told police that a man had been causing a disturbance in the store and had gotten into a physical fight with another customer before being leaving.

Shortly after the altercation, the suspect was seen returning in a white, four-door car. As the car drove past the gas station, witnesses allege he pointed a firearm out of the window and shot multiple times at the gas station.

Within an hour of the initial 9-1-1 call, investigators located and arrested the suspect at a nearby residence. It should be noted that this incident occurred while the search for a violent offender was ongoing. Despite both of these complex investigations happening simultaneously, our officers were successful in arresting both suspects that night, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The suspect was released back to the community on an Undertaking with a future court date. There were no injuries reported during the incident.
