File # 2023-7039

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, just before 3:00 p.m., Prince George RCMP began an investigation into a report of shots fired in the area of Milburn Avenue and Norwood Street. Witnesses told police they saw a grey 4-door sedan driving around with what appeared to be a firearm pointing out the window.

Police officers immediately flooded the area and located the vehicle parked inside a trailer park on the 2100-block of Norwood Street. With the assistance of the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services, investigators called out the residents of the unit. Six people exited the trailer and were subsequently arrested.

A search warrant was executed and investigators located numerous firearms throughout the trailer, as well as in the suspect vehicle. These items were seized and police later determined three of the firearms were among those stolen from a local gas station on February 7, 2023, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

All those arrested were released back to the community, two on Undertakings with future court dates, pending the full results of the investigation.
