Weapons complaint at Prince George Secondary School

 Prince George RCMP responded to a weapons complaint at Prince George Secondary School shortly after 10:30 a.m. on May 30, 2022.

Police were contacted by the school administration, who stated several students reported they were being chased by a male from outside of the school, who might have been in possession of a weapon.

When police arrived at the school, they quickly located the individuals identified by students as the suspects. The investigation revealed students had been taunting individuals who responded by yelling and acting erratically. There were no weapons located, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Witnesses to the event stated they saw the individuals being taunted by students. Police officers are currently working with school staff to identify all those involved.

This file remains under investigation.
