File # 2022-27601

On August 3, 2022, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Prince George RCMP received a report of a fire Spruce City Stadium, located at 2210 Massey Drive. Frontline police officers attended the location and spoke with City Parks employees, who stated the concession was last attended by City staff around 4:00 p.m. on August 2.

We are currently investigating this incident as an act of arson. Additionally, it appears as though the suspect or suspects stole two large Bluetooth speakers that were stored inside the concession. We are appealing to the public to come forward if they have any knowledge of who may have stolen the speakers or started the fire. They can speak with an investigator by calling the non-emergency line at 250-561-3300, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Frontline police officers were joined at the stadium by a Prince George RCMP Fire Investigator and the Forensic Identification Section to collect evidence and obtain photographs. The investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
